What types of glass can be cut with waterjets?

Most glass can be cut with a waterjet machine, but one should NOT attempt to cut tempered glass with a waterjet. Tempered glass is under stress, and will shatter upon contact with a waterjet stream. Thicker, high-quality glass is the ideal material when using waterjets as glass cutting tools. Bullet proof glass and hurricane glass are easily and beautifully cut and contoured by waterjets. Mirrors, glass furniture inlays, stained glass, and custom-fit windows can be cut using waterjet machinery. Waterjets are often used to glass cutting of artistic designs, ornaments, and other unique glass products.
